Last April in Panama took place a massive strike organized agaist a reform of the retirement pensions and other massive interventions affecting the lives of workers – undertaken by the resent goverment.
The authorities reacted with a harsh repression as the money of the union was confiscated, more than 200 militants where arested, 2 people where killed and nearly 5000 workers of banana plantages runed by the chiquita company where fired.
We will talk with Irving from Suntracs about how he experienced the strike, the current situation and how comrades can support the struggle going on there from abroad.
The videocall will be like a conversation in which we will try to include the audience instead of a presentation.
The conversation will take place in spanish with a translation into german and if needed a whisper translation into english.
If you want to inform yourselves about the union in advance you can check the following video: https://youtu.be/Ylr4HfHzVgk
There will be a KüfA after the presentation at AmEnde.
