Movie night. w/ 35mmlpz

13.09.| 19 h | IG Fortuna-Kino der Jugend

We are a group of friends from Abya Yala who began gathering to watch films—especially those emerging from the Global South. Through these shared moments, we realized the transformative power of cinema: its capacity to confront colonial narratives, challenge imposed worldviews, and ignite critical consciousness.

Our cineforum was born like a space to decolonize the gaze and free the mind through the light of the screen. We believe that cinema is not just entertainment, but a weapon and a mirror: a way to disrupt the dominant narratives, amplify silenced voices, and open up new ways of seeing and feeling the world.

Now, we seek to share these films with wider audiences. Our goal is not only to screen stories but to create collective moments of reflection, dialogue, and imagination—where cinema becomes a tool for dismantling oppressive systems and envisioning liberated futures.

Join us in this ongoing experiment of radical watching.
